Trusting the Timing
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
— Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
Encouraging Message:
We all have moments when we feel like things aren’t moving fast enough. We question, “Why am I not there yet?” We look around and see others succeeding, reaching milestones we long for, and we wonder, “What am I doing wrong?”
I’ve felt this in my own business—watching people who started after me skyrocket to success while I remained in the waiting season. But what I’ve come to understand is this: God’s timing is perfect.
It’s not that it won’t happen—it’s that it’s not time yet.
God’s plans are greater than ours. He sees what we cannot. If He’s making you wait, it’s because He’s preparing something even greater than you imagined.
Trust the process. Trust His timing. And know that your future is full of hope.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV):
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
Reflection:
Where in your life have you been struggling to trust God’s timing?
How can you shift your focus from frustration to faith?
Journaling Prompt:
Write about a time when something didn’t happen on your timeline, but looking back, you can now see God's perfect plan.
List three things you can do to remain faithful while waiting on God’s promises.
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the plans You have for me—plans to prosper and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future. Help me trust Your timing and not lean on my own understanding. While I wait, fill me with peace, strengthen my faith, and remind me that You are always working behind the scenes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
