You Are One in Christ
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
— Galatians 3:28 (NIV)
Encouraging Message:
When feelings of inadequacy creep in—when the world tries to tell you that you are less than, unworthy, or not enough—remember who God says you are.
Society may place labels on you, but God’s Word removes them all.
Having a baby at 14, I was told I wouldn’t amount to anything. The world tried to write my story before I could even turn the page. But God’s truth carried me through—He reminded me that my value was never defined by circumstances but by who I am in Him.
You are not your past.
You are not your mistakes.
You are not what the world says you are.
You are chosen, loved, and created with purpose.
No matter where you come from, you are one in Christ, and His plan for you is greater than any label placed upon you.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV):
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Reflection:
What lies have you believed about yourself that contradict what God says about you? How can you remind yourself daily that your identity is found in Him?
Journaling Prompt:
Write down the negative words or labels the world has given you. Then, replace them with what God says about you.
Reflect on a time when God’s truth helped you rise above feelings of inadequacy.
Closing Prayer:
Father God, thank You for defining who I am. Thank You for calling me chosen, loved, and redeemed. Help me to silence the lies of the enemy and remember that my identity is found in You alone. Strengthen me to walk boldly in the purpose You have placed within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
